Password Protecting Sensitive Data

If you use bitlocker to encrypt the folder then it uses your Windows credentials to unlock the certificate store and allow you access to the folder. This means that they have to know your Windows password to log into Windows to gain access to the folder. Also, if they use one of those 3rd party password reset tools to change or reset your password the certificate store will reject the new credentials and not allow access to the folder. The same goes if they try to put the drive in another computer, there would be no way for them to read the encrypted folder. The only way this method would fail would be if you left your computer on and logged in, and someone walked up to it and started using it.

As for an encrypted Zip file using 7-zip, there is no way to access the data in the file without the password.

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Are you referring to BIOS password as Boot password?
  
• Is it a login password which you are referring when Windows starts?

If Login password, provided you are using Local Account on Windows 10 you may follow the below steps:

• Press Windows + R keys to open Run command
  
• Type " control userpasswords2 "
• Select the account and uncheck "user must login with password"
• Select apply and Ok.

If Boot password you may have to contact your computer manufacturer.

Unlock password protected memory card?

Like always, on previous Symbian phones I have locked my memory cards with passwords and if you were to insert that locked card into another Symbian phone, it would immediately ask you to enter the password. I did so with my old phone (Nokia C7) and now
after inserting that locked card in the 808, nothing comes up.. it doesn't ask for a password input. I am now stuck with a 16 gigs locked micro SD card to which I know the password but I can't unlock it! I know for sure that password protected cards will not
show up on computers and it doesn't show up on my gf's Android either. I have been to a Nokia care shop and they have tried with other Nokia phones but nothing worked. They suggested using the phone it was locked with but that's not a possibility because it
was broken into pieces and sent to Finland



What else can I try to be able to unlock/input my password into this SD card?

Any help is much appreciated!
