Windows 10: browser history

Hi,
I have a problem with browser history not showing in Edge, IE11 and Crome, I use Google as search machine in Edge.
Only way I can see earlier seaches is by typing the coresponding letter. I don`t know when this occurred, I probably have
set something wrong in settings, it used to work fine. Can anybody help, please?

Thank you posting on Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to refer the below steps and check if it helps.

1. Open the Microsoft Edge.

2. click on Customize button present at the top of last box in Top sites.

3. It will give more options, Under Show select Top sites radio button

4. Save the changes and check.

If this doesn't work I would suggest you to clear cache and cookies of Edge.

1. Open Microsoft Edge.

2 Click on the three Horizontal lines and click clear browsing history.

3. Select Cache and cookies and click clear.

Note: This will remove earlier browsed data and information

When we say browser history to me this is sites we've visited. Is this what you mean.

Are we talking about the same history?

Have you installed any kind of privacy software or clean up software like CC Cleaner?

Are you running any "cleaning" products.

I don't think there is a setting to delete History in Chrome. You can delete Cookies and site data on exit.

In IE if you go Internet Options, the first tab is General. There is a section and you can add a check mark to"Delete browsing history on exit"

Edge has the option as well to clear on close and you can determine which elements. Three dots, setting, clear browsing data.

You are no doubt aware of these settings so the real question is what systematic task is deleting?

If you use a browser then close it and immediately restart is your history kept?
