Windows 10: Browser keeps changing.

I'm on Windows 11 and have been having issues with the machine since I got it out of the box. My husband bought it without me knowing. It wouldn't show diagnostic data when it was staying on, but now when I chose turn on diagnostic data, it goes right back off when I leave that screen. When I try to view the data, I see 'Current user dos not have access' or something similar and I'm logged on as administrator. Also, on the troubleshooter it has never found an issue even when it says right on the screen there's a problem with a printer for example, it will say 'a problem is preventing you fr

Default Browser Keeps Changing to Edge

There are three other ways to set your default program. In Default apps, navigate the page to find the following:

• Choose default apps by file type
  
• Choose default apps by protocol
  
• Set defaults by app
  

To manually change your default browser, follow these steps:

• Set your preferred default browser to skip Choose default apps by file type. Click
  Choose default apps by protocol then look for HTTP and HTTPS. Change them to your preferred browser.
  
• After that, click Set defaults by app and wait for the new windows to load. Search your preferred browser and click it. Select
  Set this program as default and press OK.
  
• Close all your browsers and check if it still asks you to set your browser.

Follow these steps to confirm that Chrome is set as the default browser:

  Press “Windows key + I” to get the “Settings” screen.

  Click on “System” and click on “Default apps”.
  
• 
  Under “Web Browser” select Chrome.

Windows 10 keeps changing default browser to Explorer at reboot

Follow these steps to change a default browser back to Firefox or Chrome

• Click the menu button and choose Options.
  
• In the General panel, click Make Default….
  
• The Windows Settings app will open with the Choose default apps screen.
  
• Scroll down and click the entry under Web browser. In this case, the icon will say either Microsoft Edge or Choose your default browser.
  
• In the Choose an app screen, click chrome or Firefox to set it as the default browser.
  
• Firefox or Chrome is now listed as your default browser. Close the window to save your changes.
