Windows 10: Browser only uploads/attaches non MS Office files. Very specific, very strange.

Email Attachment Issue:This issue is occurring on an IBM Surface Laptop running Windows10Browser will not upload & attach MS Office files to email message in certain circumstances:Occurs with both Chrome & Edge testedWill not upload Office files Word or Excel from local desktop testedWill not upload Office files Word or Excel from cloud – Onedrive or Gdrive testedWILL upload Adobe & jpg files from BOTH local and cloud testedThis issue DOES NOT seem to occur on my pc in the office although I recall one possible occurrence, but I might have imagined it or my Surface B

Attaching office files

Yes i am. Like I said prior, I can attach non Microsoft Office files like pdf's, jpegs etc.

When I try to attach or try to drop the file into the email, it freezes up the file explorer folder and the browser or outlook

The UCBrowser app may be able to do this, it's worth trying.



To attach documents to emails, you should do this from the Office hub. Where you see the list of documents, long-press on the document you want to email and choose "share" from the menu that appears. You can also do this from document itself by using the
"..." menu at the bottom of the screen.
