Windows 10: Browsers automatically run as admin

Discus and support Browsers automatically run as admin in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; I've got this strange issue. My browsers randomly run as an admin while they are open.     Browsers automatically run as admin


    I've got this strange issue. My browsers randomly run as an admin while they are open. There is no UAC prompt. It happens across Chrome, Edge, and IE simultaneously. If I shift-right click "run as other user" and manually run as my standard account, it will act up again. Sometimes it's 30 seconds, other times 30 minutes. I do not have "run as administrator" enabled.



    This is incredibly annoying as I have to completely disrupt my workflow by restarting my browser, as my admin account has extremely strict web permissions. Any suggestions?

    I assume you don't have 'exit' anywhere in your batch file?

    Rather than playing with 'pause' - if you want to see the output...

    1. Open a command window as admin
    2. Run the batch file manually
    3. Command window will not close unless the 'exit' command is issued
    4. Read output
    That's the first step I'd take to diagnose. Then run every line in your batch file manually, one-by-one, in your admin command window (copy and paste from the actual batch file, don't retype the commands).

    You'll soon find your problem.
