  1. BSOD 0x00000101

    Hello,
Well as the title says, I'm getting a BSOD, mostly while playing games. I don't always get the stop code, but when I do it's the CLOCK: WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT. I've looked into it and the code is 0x00000101, so I'm kind of already sure what all this is about, but I would like someone more competent than me to look into the dmp files. Here are the memory and minidump file: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AvXXU9WKzd_jgnEm-xBbX3mpUCXQ?e=0yjzZc

    I have:
    Windows 10 Pro
Processor: AMD A6-3500 APU with Radeontm HD Graphics 2.10 GHz

Installed memory RAM: 8,00 GB 7,73 GB usable

System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor

    :)

    BSOD ntoskrnl.exe+142480, 0x00000101, did test: DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (avc3.sys)

While last reply I had 3 more BSODS, 3 more .dmps.

All of them were while playing like before.

All of them with those causes:

    0x00000101

    ntoskrnl.exe+142480

The "0x00000124, ntoskrnl.exe" which I had once in that time seems to be unique.

    Done things:

    No BSOD

    -prime95 4hours

    -3dMark Benchmarks

    Still BSOD

    -deinstalled bitdefender

-deinstalled gigabyte center software with components (oc software etc.)

    -installed old nvidia driver

-set ram profile from xmp (3000) to normal 2133

  3. BSOD and Freezing: 0x00000101. Tried Everything -- I think?

Hello, as the title says, for months I've been battling to fix my Windows 7 PC. Allow me to give as many details as possible.

So, first thing I did was check when I got the Blue Screen. They only occurred when playing certain video games. Thats it. I can play low intensity games just fine (Played Pathologic Classic HD for several hours to test this).

I've done multiple tests to get an answer. I've done the following tests:

    • 3D FurMark
    • Memtest86+
    • Chkdsk
    • Sfc scan
    • Updated Drivers
    • Scanned for Malware
    • Temperature Tests
None of these tests yielded an answer. Memtest86+ and Furmark I ran for several hours to see if they may get something, but they got me no where.

So, I'm incredibly confused. My PC doesn't overheat easily. I ran FurMark with higher settings than any game I own, and it didn't crash nor overheat after several hours, but yet I get a BSOD after playing
Left 4 Dead 2 or TW: Rome II for 10 minutes. Thought it was a RAM or processor issue, but Chkdsk and Memtest86+ got me no where.

From what I've read, 0x00000101 is processor related, so most of my efforts have been centered around that.

Any and all help or advise is highly appreciated!

    BSOD 0x00000101

    Random BSOD while browsing internet

BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.
A tiny documentation can be found here: Solved Random BSODs - Windows 10 Forums
In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.
