Windows 10: BSOD after Installation of KB5041580 on Acer Win10

Hi,yesterday I left my computer on. Today in the morning it shows a blue screen: Your Computer was not started correctly. I run a new start and after it shows "preparing automatic repair" I did extended options, then "Problembehandlung" and there extended options. Deinstallaation of updates did not work for both options and system recovery shows the last recovery point at 13.8.2024 20:07 "Windows Modules Installer". This did not work also for the automatic recovery point before."Starthilfe" also returns in the same cycle with "preparing automatic repair".Boot in secure mode with windows does n

I would suggest to visit Acer to update or re-install all the drivers available for Windows 10.
Re-installing drivers removes corruption what helps improving system stability.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window.

 

BSOD - Clean install of Win10 on new NVME on Acer A515-51g

I've re-installed Win10 on my Acer Aspire A515-51g as I put a new 1TB NVME SSD in it and the clone process had errors - so just wiped it all and started again.

Have installed all the manufacturers drivers from their website and used several commonly available free driver updater software to check these are updated. Also made sure windows itself was updated. However the sysem is super unstable - around 10 BSOD this
afternoon while doing all sorts of random tasks.

BlueScreenView is suggesting it is NT Kernal and System which has caused them all or at least is highlighted. However I'm at the limits of my knowledge.

The BSOD messages are:

Is it likely I have missed a driver entirely when setting this up?

BSOD- atikmpag.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:

• Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
• Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
• After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.
