    BSOD after installing update

I'm having a serious issue with Windows currently. I recently just built a new pc and have had nothing but issues with it since. I've tested it and it appears that as soon as I install update 22H2 KB5022834 , which is the most recent update, my computer endlessly produces BSODs. This also occurs on Windows 11 for me. I decided to revert back to Windows 10 in order to see if the issue would resolve, however, it still blue screened after the most recent windows update installing. When I decide to use the base install of Windows, however, no bluescreens. I have tried nearly everything to resolv

    BSOD- atikmpag.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:
    • Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
    • Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
    • After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.

I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

    Best of luck! *Toast :toast:

Sapphire 4850 bsod on new install

That could be it. Just a suggestion, never do any hardware driver updates via Windows update in the future, just download the critical updates and leave it at that. When thats done then install hardware drivers that you got from the manufacturer's site.
