BSOD after overclocking and then returning to stock settings

    Windows version 1909.
I overclocked by 2600k a while back, then it started blue screening so I revert all the changes but bluescreens are very common now, though only when I'm not present at the machine it seems.

Whea-Logger error coming out of nowhere...PC is at stock settings.

In your original post, you mentioned your CPU goes to 4.5 Ghz, and since your listed CPU is rated to run @3.6 GHz (base) and 4.0 GHz (turbo). I would suggest you turn off any overclocking/turbo functionality and return your CPU to base speed to see if that resolves your issue.

I know you said it is stock but maybe someone went into the BIOS and changed some settings without your knowledge?

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds

Windows 10 boots fine when overclocked, but freezes after boot at stock speed.

I installed Windows 10 with my computer overclocked. The system runs perfectly fine when overclocked, and I don't have excessive startup processes. After finishing starting the desktop I'm using about 4 gigs of ram for my 64 bit install. Now, if I boot
with the stock settings for my hardware the system completely freezes within a few seconds. I checked all of the hardware when overclocked and it runs fine.

Does Windows 10 optimize itself to only run properly with the overclocked settings when installed in an overclocked config? Is there anyway to get windows running correctly at stock?
