BSOD after wake, error code APC_INDEX_MISMATCH

    Hey!

I'm having a hard time figuring out what is causing this BSOD. It started in Windows 8, and after reading around, and trying several things (changing parameters in the BIOS, updating drivers, etc.) I thought (well..hoped..) that upgrading to Windows 10 might solve it..but after a while the BSOD is back.

Unfortunately it's not really reproducible. I often put my PC to sleep, and when I wake it sometimes I get a BSOD...but not always. I haven't figured out how/when/what is causing it. I tried checking the dmp files with Whocrashed, but got nothing really helpful..

Hopefully someone here can shine some light.. *Smile

I attached the zip file generated with the forum's tool.
    Thanks!

    :)

  2. My Laptop keeps restarting whenever i try to start up a game

    1. It seems like it'll restart with any game

    2. No, I've never faces this kind of issue before

    3. I browsed the internet for about an hour on it and it seemed alright, it didn't crash

    4. Yes that's my laptop, mines red (I'm sure the color doesn't matter)

Recently whenever I attempt to sign in I get a BSOD and an error code SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, APC_INDEX_MISMATCH

    Those are the error codes

PC constantly reboots after Windows 10 upgrade with APC_INDEX_MISMATCH error

After upgrading from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10, my laptop now constantly reboots. It's let's me login (domain account), and brings up the desktop for about 10 seconds, then gives the BSOD and saying "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart" with
error code APC_INDEX_MISMATCH. I went into the Advanced Options and ran the repair tool, but that just spits back an error saying it can't repair the PC. Any ideas or things to try to fix this?

The first thing to try is update your BIOS from version 2012 dated 09/30/2014 to the latest on the ASUS web site which is 2702 dated 2015/11/23.

See if that makes a difference.

If not, try the Chipset driver from there, dated 2016/08/02 and Audio driver dated 2016/08/04.
