    BSOD after waking from sleep or waking the screen after long periods of time


    So as the title says whenever my laptop is in sleep or is on for long periods of time and the screen switches off, and i wake the laptop up it shows a BSOD. The error is DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the stopcode is amdkmpfd.sys I had recently installed the adrenaline software provided by AMD and had this occur to me a few times. Hence I reset the system. Now the problem has gotten even worse. I have attached an image but sorry for the bad image quality as I had quickly taken it using my mobile phone.

    Hi Prakhar,

    The steps you suggested did not solve the problem. I am still experiencing the BSOD when waking the computer from sleep. If you have an other suggestions they'd be greatly appreciated.

    For us to narrow down your concern with waking up your computer from sleep mode, we would like to know the following:

    • Aside from Windows Update. were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue?
    • Is this the first time you experienced the issue?
    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Send us a screenshot of your screen when you wake up your computer from sleep mode.

    computer won't wake up from sleep...

    Im running windows 7 and whenever i put the computer to sleep and try to wake it I get blue screen of death or the computer would just restart. It sometimes would wake but would get BSOD after a couple of minutes. other times the computer wakes up but the screen stays black and i would have to reset.

    Specs:
    990fxa ud3 from gigabyte
    antec 500w psu
    FX8350 CPU
    Asus r9 280x
    4gb ram
    250 gb hdd
