Windows 10: BSOD after waking up from sleep while plugged to a monitor - Win32k Power Watchdog timeout

Hi all,

My laptop is facing a situation where every time it comes back from sleep while plugged to a monitor, it crashes with a BSOD - Win32k Power Watchdog timeout.

The model is a Dell Inspiron 5490 / Windows 10. Is anybody able to assist me?

BSOD win32k power watchdog timeout

I have a BSOD few times (new Asus zenbook ux331fn) with an error "win32k power watchdog timeout".

Any ideas about reason?

When I lid the screen it goes to the sleeping mode by default, after opening the laptop after this sleeping mode a blue screen with error message appears, the stop code for this error message is "win32k power watchdog timeout"

Hello

I have had the BSOD "win32k power watchdog timeout" error twice in the last couple of days when I tried to wake up my laptop from hibernation.

Following many posts in this forum, I have uploaded my 'minidump' folder:

I don't know if it's relevant, but my laptop is Dell XPS 13 (9300), and connected with an external monitor. The graphic card is Intel Iris. The laptop doesn't allow the normal sleep mode (S3), so I have CSEnabled (Connected Standby) on, followed by hibernation
after a certain period of time.

If anyone could work out what the cause of this error is, I should be most grateful!
