    BSOD ahcix64s.sys

    Hey everyone, I am having an issue that is driving me crazy! I am trying to write this as basic as possible, but with enough detail hopefully.

    This is a newer build that has never been right it seems.

    Drives Configuration:
    1 - SATA 256GB SSD (BOOT DRIVE) C:

    3- 4TB HDD (RAID 5 DATA DRIVES) E:
    OS:
    Windows 10 ProCPU:FX 8320E Black Edition
    Motherboard:
    GA-970A-UD3P Rev 2.0
    Memory:
    CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB)
    Graphics Card(s):
    GIGABYTE GV-N75TOC-2GI

    The issue I am having is while copying data from C: to E: it will BSOD and give error ahcix64s.sys.
    Files have to over a GB it seems to cause this issue. Any smaller files are fine. The same thing happens if I try to download large files to the E drive.

    All drivers are "up to date" Bios is flashed to latest revision. The storage controller for the RAID is on 3.8.1540.11 which is from 2013. I can not seem to find any updated versions of this.

    Any advice would be great!

    :)

    BSOD for DPC_Watchdog_Violation on Win10

    Also, the error points to the ahcix64s.sys:

    BugCheck 133, {1, 1e00, 0, 0}

    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for ahcix64s.sys

    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for
    ahcix64s.sys

    Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt! ?? ::FNODOBFM::`string'+adbb )

    The process that is consistently crashing is the ETD_SMARTCmd.exe:

    PROCESS_NAME: ETD_SMARTCmd.e

    The ahcix64s.sys is the AMD AHCI Driver and the ETD_SMARTCmd.exe appears to be a component of an HP support program.

    You could try installing the latest
    AMD Chipset Drivers
    for Windows 10 which should include the latest AMD AHCI driver and/or uninstall the HP Support program.

    Uninstalling HP programs appeared to work in
    this link
    with the same error.

  3. DPC watchdog violation

    1-It is not your video driver. It is your ahcix64s.sys driver

    2-Please upload the new DMP files

    Your RAID controller driver is outdated, however there aren't driver updates provided by Gigabyte.
    Try to update your BIOS, an update has been released a few days ago.

    Still same issue. Been busy and have been trying everything I can. No luck still *Sad

    Could it be a bad board?

    More information is required *Arrow BSOD Posting Instructions

    What have you tried exactly?

    You need to provide more information if you would want me to answer that properly. Right now I can't say anything as I've suggested 1 thing which wouldn't lead to a bad board.
