hal.dll+35f1f bsod error in Windows 10

    OT- hal.dll+35f1f bsod

    Hello,

There was a bsod just now, which is the first time I've experienced it - and should I be worrying about it?

This is what I got from BlueScreenView:

    071816-24656-01.dmp

    18/7/2016 8:23:23 PM

    0x00000124

    00000000`00000000

    ffffe000`2db12028

    00000000`b2000000

    00000000`00100402

    hal.dll

    hal.dll+35f1f

    x64

    ntoskrnl.exe+142940

    C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\071816-24656-01.dmp

    What caused this? Thanks!

  3. [Win 10] [BSOD] hal.dll crash

    Hi All,

    I think I've got issues with hal.dll (specifically hal.dll+4e490) that's causing BSODs.

Had 4 BSODs with bug check code 133 within the past 3 months.

I've had a look at the minidumps in BlueScreenView - all lead to the same stack trace before crash of:

    hal.dll hal.dll+4e490

    ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+xxxxx

I'm not sure what I'm doing with WinDbg (and therefore haven't got symbols set up, etc), however WinDbg suggested that the cause was ntoskrnl.exe

    Minidumps:

    1) 012517-11421-01.zip

    2) 020117-12390-01.zip

    3) 101516-6437-01.zip

    4) 112316-7875-01.zip

Any help or pointers would be really appreciated.

If there's any extra info you require, I'll provide it ASAP.

    Thank you in advance!

BSOD All the Time (ntoskrnl.exe, hal.dll,...)

0xFC and OxD1. Both are driver related issue, apparently. But the dumps are not pointing to any driver precisely.

It would be better if you enable driver verifier. Follow it: Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

Please read the entire tutorial very minutely before you enable Driver Verifier.

Let us see the crash dumps with verifier enabled.

OK, I've done this "Driver verifier" last night, but the funny thing is I haven't encountered any BSOD after that, it's about 6 7 hours now with no BSOD that is strange *Rolleyes I will post more info as soon as I get BSOD

OK, so finally BSOD happens again and here is the information that I create with the same "DM Log collector" but with driver verifier on .

Can you update the driver to Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100?
    Drivers Software

See how it goes. Let us know. And disable driver verifier now.

BSOD All the Time (ntoskrnl.exe, hal.dll,...)

OK, I download and install "Wireless_16.7.0_e164" driver from the link . I will update here if anything happens.

Your last BSOD dump gives such an impression. And as the driver is incompatible, possibilities remain there.
