Windows 10: Bsod Amd northbridge

Hey, My computer was idle and I went to awaken it and it had been turned off, I checked event viewer and found this

A fatal hardware error has occurred.


Component: AMD Northbridge
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error
Processor APIC ID: 0


WHEA-LOGGER was source


I've used windows 7 and 8 forums in the past and have always found its users so helpful in solving my issues. I have attached my dump files, thanks again everyone for all the help in advance.

My PC keeps randomly restarting

I found the problem it’s something to do with AMD northbridge, it says

A fatal hardware error has occurred

Component: AMD northbridge

Error Source: Machine Check Exception

Error Type: 11

Processor APIC ID:0

 

Keep getting random "PROCESS HAS LOCKED PAGES" BSOD crashes constantly after last week's windows update

The backgroundtaskhost.exe seems to be the process that is consistently crashing and the crash may be related to nvlddmkm.sys, the NVIDIA graphics driver.

There was also this error in the Event Logs from "WHEA-Logger":

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Component: AMD Northbridge

Error Source: Machine Check Exception

Error Type: HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error

Processor APIC ID: 0

The reference to the AMD Northbridge may further indicate the issue is with the graphics.

Are you over-clocking or have you ever over-clocked?

Please check {windows partition}\windows\minidump and check if there are more dump files recently saved.
Please make sure your pc is configured for small dump files How to configure minidump | Windows 10 tutorial

As there is only 1 dump file, there is no consistent data.

The problem:
There is too much time out between data in a bus, because a component is not reacting to a response.

The partition was empty, I have changed the settings to small memory dump and re-used the dm collector, here is the new zipfile.

 

Please run the DM Log Collector tool when you have a few dumps.
The zip is now empty of dumps.

 

I'm unsure how to replicate as it happened when computer was idle, sorry for my confusion and thank you for your patience.

I have the same problem but reading the posts I didn't actually get how this got solved. Mine is a laptop with Carrizo a10-8700p

 

@sandro87, please start another thread of your own. This one was not solved, the problem just went away.
