    General Windows 10 System Instability

    Hello,

I've been having general system instability under Windows 10 since I built up a new PC last year. Recently I've tried to address this but have run into more problems.

Basically I'm seeing consistent blue screens a variety of causes which seem mostly memory related after a fresh Win 10 installation. I've used memtest to check each memory stick individually which did not indicate there were any issues with RAM itself.
I also used Windows memory diagnostic which did not turn up any memory problems. I've tried multiple motherboards and CPU's and the instability still persists (although my system is more unstable with the new motherboard). The CPU and other components are
not being overclocked. Also, running sfc /scannow caused an almost immediate blue screen.

I've shared a memory dump from the latest crash as well as a handful of mini dumps. The output of a MsInfo is also shared.

Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.

I followed the instructions from Redirecting to getthe above files.

Any help with this would be really appreciated. I'm planning on reinstalling Windows again this weekend but using the latest Intel AHCI drivers.

    Thanks for the help!

  3. BSODs with corrupt pagefile - Is That Possible?

Past couple of days I have been having random BSODS. A few examples of the messages was - Memory management / IRQL less than or equal to/ Thread could not be activated/ Page Pool something or other.

First BSODS I have had on this relatively new system so decided to take everything back to stock and test each part. I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit BTW.

    HDtune error check - fine
    Memtest86 - 10 passes fine
    Prime 95 - 7hrs overnight fine
    Graphics card - furmark/3DMark fine

Go to play a bit of WOW last night and it locks up straight away with memory management issue. So I looked into it a bit and read that it could possibly be a virtual memory/pagefile issue and that if it is corrupted it may cause these issues.

I then set the pagefile to zero and enabled clear pagefile on shutdown in the registry. When it rebooted I let the amount be set by Windows and disabled the registry entry for clearing it on shutdown and will see how it goes.

I had never heard of this issue before causing BSODS, is it common and what should be the next step if I get another one today with the new pagefile in place?

  4. BSOD and general instability Windows 10 - possible memory issue?

Ask everyone for help to analyze my BSOD problem, what is the reason? I suspect it might be a memory issue.

    Hello Mettant en vedette

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Based on your current description, it appears that the device is experiencing BSOD issues when using specific highly loaded software, but without a specific BSOD dump file, it is generally difficult to pinpoint where the source of the problem is coming from. If it is convenient, please try uploading your dump file to OneDrive and sharing it with me as a shared link. This will help us to analyse the cause of the problem in more detail.

Based on the information you provided, it does seem like a memory issue could be a possible cause. Let's take a closer look at the analysis results you obtained.

    • 052223-4171-01 ACE-BASE.sys:
The presence of "ACE-BASE.sys" in the analysis result suggests that there may be an issue with a driver called ACE-BASE.sys. Drivers are software components that enable communication between the operating system and hardware devices. A faulty or incompatible driver can cause system instability and result in BSOD errors. It's recommended to update the driver associated with ACE-BASE.sys or try reinstalling it to see if it resolves the issue.

    • 051823-4390-01 hardware IMAGE_NAME: memory_corruption:
This analysis result indicates that there is a memory corruption issue. Memory corruption can occur due to various reasons, including faulty RAM modules, incompatible hardware, or even software conflicts. To troubleshoot this, you can try running a memory diagnostic test to check for any issues with your RAM. Additionally, make sure that all your hardware components are compatible with your system and have the latest drivers installed.

    • 051223-4375-01 tcpip IMAGE_NAME: tcpip.sys:
This analysis result suggests that the tcpip.sys file, which is related to the TCP/IP networking protocol, may be causing the BSOD error. TCP/IP is responsible for network communication, and a problem with this component can lead to system crashes. To address this, you can try updating your network drivers to the latest version. You can usually find the appropriate drivers on the manufacturer's website for your network adapter or motherboard.

In addition to the above steps, here are some general troubleshooting measures you can take:

    1. Make sure your operating system and all drivers are up to date.
    2. Scan your system for malware or viruses using reliable security software.
    3. Check for any recent software or hardware changes that might have triggered the issue and consider reverting those changes.
    4. Clean the inside of your computer for any dust or debris that might be affecting hardware performance.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, it might be helpful to provide more details about your system configuration, such as your computer's specifications, installed software, and any recent changes you made. This additional information could assist in further troubleshooting the issue.

    Best regards,
