Windows 10: BSOD and random restarts. Blue screen varies.

Hi I've been having some system issues in the last week or two, before that the system had been stable for around 6 weeks after working previous issues out with the Windows 10 upgrade.

currently I'm getting a random system shutdown and restart every 10(?) minutes and a blue screen every so often. The Blue screen has been both Kernel and page_fault.

Crashes usually occur during internet use, and streaming. I use Firefox. Haven't tried running a game for a few days as the system seems to unstable to bother.

Recently installed Norton, to replace lapsed Macafee. Installed Rome Total War through steam and had a session on that without issue. Drivers and windows set to auto update.

DISM, Windows Reset/Refresh not working.

Faulty RAM can give rise to 'random' blue screens (BSODs).

 

Bsod problem

1, while playing csgo but only get once bsod , blue screen

2, yes random error

3, no

4, after the reboot everything go shoot and nothing's happens!

This seems like either bad memory or a driver problem
To rule out the memory, please run MemTest86+

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

 

Okay, any driver that should update automatically has updated.

Im now running the memory test. Thanks for the help

test still running 5 passes 13 hours no errors yet.

 

Well that took a while. Doesn't look like a memory issue. Any suggestions on checking drivers? Attachment 46188

 

Have you tried a clean install?

You can test the drivers by running driver verifier.

Warning Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
Please create a restore point.
Please follow this tutorial to run driver verifier.

Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.



Note Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

 

Tanks for the advise. Will give this a go after work tomorrow.

 

Still having issues, will be trying Windows reinstall Monday.
