Whenever I try turning on my pc it either freezes on boot and I have to hard reset it or it Blue Screens. Eventually after a couple of resets I can enter windows.

The error codes from the bluescreens have been different every time so I haven't really written them down.

I've tried unplugging my boot drive to see if I can boot into bios but it still doesn't post. I've tried taking out one of my ram sticks and leaving one in but it didn't solve the problem. I've checked drivers to see if any need updating but nothing seemed broken.

I've included my most recent minidump file and some from previous days since this has been happening for almost a month. I've also included a memory dump of the most recent bsod.

If any other files are needed I'm happy to provide them. Thank you.

    :)

  2. ughhh! BSOD on boot

I guess my computer BSOD on boot right before getting to windows. not sure what the problem is though, everything is stable.

It gave me a list of two files in windows that could have caused the problems

    Hi Groggubus,

Welcome to the 10forums BSOD and Trouble Booting into Windows. :)

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please follow this suggestion for the BSOD
    1. Please open BitDefender and go to the modules,
    2. Go to the firewall settings,
    3. Uncheck 'Block port scans in the network',
    4. Reboot your system <-- IMPORTANT
