Windows 10: BSOD appearing randomly

Hi everyone, i'm coming to you hoping that you would be able to give me some advice regarding some BSOD that a friend has been receiving randomly on his computer; the configuration is as follows:Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus B360M Gaming 3 with F15 bios versionCPU: Intel i5 8600GPU: Gigabyte GeForce 1070 Ram: 2x Kingston Fury 2,666 MhZ each; not sure if anything else is relevantThe system was working fine for ~2 years with no major changes to hardware or software; two months ago a cpu cooler was installed, but the issue started some time before this was added.I'm also uploading the MS config fi

BSOD randomly

friend keeps getting BSOD
any suggestions?

 

BSOD DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE randomly after cold boot/sleep

For the past month I have been getting random BSOD's all with driver power state failure. They happen randomly, usually within the first 5-10 minutes of cold booting or waking my computer. Steps I have taken to attempt to fix the problem:

1. Reinstalled GPU drivers/ tried old drivers
2. Fresh installed Windows 1803, still happened, then fresh installed 1709
3. Disabled Fast Boot

None of these things fixed the issue, any help would be much appreciated at pinpointing the issue. Thanks

 

Getting BSOD 0x124 error

Ignore what everone said here.

0x124 BSOD is usually related to VCCIO (VTT), run Prime95 version 26.6 with custom sizes of 512K to 640K with 50% of your memory for at least 8 hours.

If you get a 0x124 BSOD, increase VCCIO voltage by small steps, run Prime95 again until your stable.

If you pass Prime95 512K to 640K without a BSOD, then its Vcore too low. I'd suggest running IntelBurnTest with 80% of your memory to verify stability (8 to 12 hours).

Oh, and yeah, if this problem appeared all of the sudden, the reason is CPU degradation, you can prevent it by enabling C-States or adjust your overclock to use lower voltages.
