    BSOD at boot up, cannot disk check


    Hello. I have recently had problems on my computer and I wonder if someone could help me.

    So, when i boot up my pc, after the Windows logo i get a BSOD either with SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I tried running it in safe mode and it boots up fine but I can't boot it up normally. I also tried system restore but i got an error saying that it failed while scanning the D:\ and that it might be corrupt and that I might want tl try chkdsk /R, so I did it in command prompt in the advanced troubleshooting, but it said that it can't run it because it's NTFS and it is write protected. Then I tried running chkdsk C: but for some reason it stopped at status 6 with an error message saying "Failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 6."

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Checking Disk Consistency

    Ok i did as viper suggested, but it stops checking at stage 3. It is still saying the drive is dirty, and still needs to be checked. I did a defrag and a disk cleanup, and suggestions?

    I'm having the Disk Check issue again. However, this time, I can't use Startup Repair to fix it. Can you address this?

    ughhh! BSOD on boot

    I guess my computer BSOD on boot right before getting to windows. not sure what the problem is though, everything is stable.

    It gave me a list of two files in windows that could have caused the problems
