BSOD at stage of booting Win (after fixmbr)

    Hi,
I have GRUB launcher as MBR, so that give me a choice every time I turn on my laptop to choose between 10 or Linux Mint. Today, I decided to delete Mint, because I dont need him anymore. After deleting that part on disk and resize to D: (as data, not Windows part), which completed succesfuly, after restart, there was no booting Win, only command prompt with words "GRUB rescue". I fixed that from live Linux from USB by programme mbr rescue (or something). That only caused MBR and blinking underscore. I launched Win10 DVD and click on repair boot. That fixed it (there is still 5 sec period with blinking underscore, that wasnt here yet too much that long, but who cares) and after few seconds of booting it gives me BSOD "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION". What the hell is it? Safe mode is not working - same error while booting. I need that laptop. I cannot reinstall it, because I need it for work and I have a lot of work on it. So please, help me. I cant post dmp file here, because I cant. Previous build or older system reload gives me error. Thank you a lot!

    :)

I too am having this problem after I tried the Troubleshooting. Been trying to find fixes to BSODs. I had recently gave my computer a full format. SSD was wiped with a clean install. Getting all kinds of BSODs. During the Win 10 installations computer
reboots. I have tried the bootrec.exe /fixboot, scanos, and fixmbr and they all pass. I don't know what else to do. Hardware is good. 1709 update is really kicking my butt.

  3. BSOD after upgrade to windows 10

After upgrading Win 7 to Windows 10 my PC endswith BSOD every time it boots up.

If I let it finish the boot without logging in, it BSODs at the end of the boot.

If I log in as soon as I am able to, it BSODs at the end of the boot/login.

Maybe one of the last services loaded is cause of the BSOD?

I can boot to safe mode with no problems,

and in the Windows system log I see lots of faults under the latest normal boot sequence.

What do I do to narrow down the problem?

Unfortunately that means hardware problems, I hope you have a backup of your system.

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

I cannot try the Win programme, but memtest and ckdsk are allright. I searched the for the bsod and that can mean a driver problem. I think I corrupted the secret RAW part 350MB boot. Now I have 3 parts - corrupted boot, system and data. After startup repair in win dvd it can boot, but with bsod. But I hope, that this is causing corrupted boot part and fixing it solve the bsod, but how?
And Iam dumb, so I have no any bit copy of system on D:. If i repair it or (sadly) reinstall, Ill create that 4 sure.

BSOD at stage of booting Win (after fixmbr)

So, I tried something. Copy whole new data to boot part. BUT that part was inaccesible, because no file system (RAW). I booted to live Linux and in Gparted I formatted it like NTFS 350MB. Then in Windows DVD copyied new files and now booting fine and instantly Windows logo show. But the BSOD SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION still remains. Is any way, how to export dmp file in Linux with more info about BSOD to find the error? Thanks *Smile

It was an (not thé) answer on your question, but I'm not familiair with Linux and thus don't know what possibilities you have in Linux.

So Iam out of choices? Because I cant boot in Windows anyhow. Only Linux from USB is working. The bsod could be caused by e.g. bad driver, but how can I inspect, what exactly is causing it, if I cant use safe mode?
