    Today I've experienced a BSOD while using my computer - when trying to use Video for Teams/Zoom. I was informed by my system that the BSOD was a result of "ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC", and I've been looking up guides and people with similar problems on here in an attempt to remedy the problem. According to device manager all my drivers are up to date, and I've owned this brand new PC for just under a month now. I was able to open the .dmp file created by the BSOD with WinDbg but the output with dumpchk did not make a whole lot of sense to me. Knowing this I've attached the link to the dmp file

    Windows 10 BSOD ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC

    Hi,
    From time to time I have ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC BSOD without relation to what I am doing on the laptop.
    As mentioned on some forums I have tried:
    1. Check disk - everything OK
    2. Check RAM - everything OK
    3. Disable windows quick start
    4. Update drivers
    But nothing helped.

    ok i think i kinda find how to fixed this

    well at least the loop bsod everytime i plug the webcam usb or restart (while the usb plugged) stopped

    i am not sure if this stable enough (random bsod)

    after reading lots of bsod on net.. i found this post

    so culprit is between webcam creative driver and westerndigital mybook smartware

    so i uninstall all webcam software (that packed with the dell driver installer) and then also uninstall wd smartware (also removing all things related to both that listen on uninstall program list)

    reboot the system, then plug it... windows10 automatically install the driver, it showing up as correct device

    just for be safe, i reboot once more...

    and then re-install smartware (i know its **** and not needed)

    so far no bsod

    so for people having issue, and have both device

    i suggest follow the step above

    Just make sure let windows detect+install webcam first

    before installing wd smartware
