  2. Recurring BSOD crashes after using specific software (Axure RP Pro)

The causes of the BSOD's are related to BAD_POOL_CALLER and SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION related to the drivers; ntoskrnl.exe+16c560 and win32kbase.sys

  3. received error : Bad_Pool_Header causes BSOD while watching YouTube

Okay so I updated the driver for the WiFi adapter and the BSOD went away for a couple of days. Unfortunately, a BSOD popped up again today with bad_pool_calling. I have a .dmp file for this crash if you guys need it.

The present dump shows the same I've seen many times lately, the Malwarebytes Web Access Control attempting to free kernel memory which was already freed, caused by a driver conflict between Malwarebytes and Bitdefender. Currently a fix is not available for this, you could disable the Web protection at startup or remove either of them.

If you are using a program like Ccleaner please stop using it while troubleshooting.
This because programs like Ccleaner remove dump files that are needed to troubleshoot.
Or configure Ccleaner to not remove dump files:

Thanks axe0 for the quick reply. I guess I'll have to wait for a fix. The BSOD referred to is just inconvenient since it happens so infrequently. The system automatically reboots and I'm on my way.

    Thanks again,

I just got mail from Malwarebytes about this, took some time with tests though to get to this.
However I have already done enough to ignore the repair part, I have done following in order
    • A few reinstallations of Malwarebytes with their clean removal tool,
    • A few repair installations of BitDefender,
    • Excluded Malwarebytes in BitDefender and BitDefender in Malwarebytes,
    • Removed BitDefender and only ran Windows Defender and Malwarebytes as a test Malwarebytes requested which resulted in no BSOD's
If you haven't done a repair install, it is an option for you but I won't as I know it won't help for my system.

    Hi axe0,

Sorry to temporarily reopen this thread. You mentioned that the BSOD was caused by a driver conflict between Malwarebytes and Bitdefender. I have both Malwarebytes anti-malware and anti-exploit installed. Is the conflict caused by one of the Malwarebytes applications or is just caused by having any Malwarebytes application installed?

Thanks again for your excellent support!!!

It is caused by a driver conflict between the Anti-Malware and Bitdefender programs.
    The Anti-Exploit is not included
