Windows 10: BSOD BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO Fix After Trying To Update Intel Driver

From the WindowsRE, I have tried Startup Repair fails, Uninstall Updates fails to uninstall, Startup Settings re-encounters BSOD after restart, and System Restore Windows will boot, but BSODs with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR around 3 minutes into use. The Command Prompt wsa accessed, and sfc /scannow was used, but did not repair the error. DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth gives Error 87 The cleanup-image option is unknown. I ran multiple diagnostics in UEFI Firmware Settings, none of which showed any errors with the firmware.The most specific error is seen when trying to scan

Blue Screen error with Bad_System_Config_Info after an upgrade

I appreciate the efforts take by you in resolving the issue. I understand that after an upgrade you are receive Blue Screen error on the computer with Bad_System_Config_Info. I’ll help you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• May I know the update that was installed on the computer recently?
  
• What is the complete model number of the computer that you are using?
  

The “Bad_System_Config_Info” error means that something is wrong with the registry on your PC and you'll need to return to a previous configuration. I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article

Error 0x74: Bad_system_config_info and see if that helps.



Note: The last step in the above article talks about performing a reset on the computer. Resetting the computer will delete all the files and applications from the computer. Do not perform reset on your computer.

Asus laptop drop fps whenever there's Intel driver update

[Fixed] I figured out how to "properly" update my Chipset Intel Driver by following theses steps:

1. Download latest version of Chipset Intel Driver from manufacture site Asus: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/X556UQ/HelpDesk_BIOS/
   
2. Install the downloaded driver.
   
3. Open device manager.
   
4. Search for 4 chipset "intel" driver and click "check for update".
   

 

BSOD- atikmpag.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:

• Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
• Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
• After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.
