  1. BSOD, changed disk now locked out.

Hi, am a mobile user so please forgive formatting etc.

In short i need to reset an admin account, i have access to a user account but can remember my old admin password.

    Can anyone help?

What happened is my current HD BSOD and wouldnt reset as itd get to about 80% then undo changes and revert back to blue screen. So im taking it to a friend who can just fresh instal over it as i have no media.

So i got my old HD out to use that and i put an admin account on it which i cant remember the password for. Which means i can do very little on the laptop but at keast have net access etc but ideally if the other HD is nailed then ill need this one with full access.

Any useful help will be appreciated as otherwise its looking like ill need third party tools or do the ultiman / cmd hack. If that even works.

    Lock Screen keeps changing

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Windows Spotlight picks the photos from Bing and displays them in the lock screen. I understand that you have set a picture and it is getting changed automatically.

I suggest you to follow the steps to select the Picture that you want to be displayed on the lock screen. Please follow the steps mentioned below to set a Picture to lock screen:

    1. Press and hold Windows + I key on the keyboard to open settings.
    2. Click on Personalization.
    3. Click on Lock screen.
    4. Click on the drop down under Background and select
      Picture.
    5. Click on Browse and select the picture that you want to set.

    Hope it helps.

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.
