Windows 10: BSoD connecting to particular WiFi

Hello,Problem: My system gets a blue screen error with the DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error when I try and connect to t-mobile home internet WiFi. It happens immediately on trying to connect to the WiFi. I can connect to a mobile hotspot from another carrier with no issues. I am using a linksys WUSB6300 wireless USB adapter to connect. History: A few days ago I had a few crashes while browsing the internet. It then worked fine for a little over a day, but yesterday while trying to reconnect to the t-mobile internet it drops signal frequently and needs to be reset I got the first connection blue

If your WiFi adapter can see the network concerned then it has the 2.4GHz/5.0GHz/5.8GHz capability required. And do note that this does not mean the same as "2G", "5G", terms which refer to mobile data capabilities.
Whatever your problem is, it lies elsewhere.

I suggest temporarily disabling your antimalware application as an experiment.
I once had BitDefender refusing to use one specific WiFi adapter without bothering to tell me so I just thought I had connection/password problems at first.

I agree that considering the security type is worthwhile & that temporarily turning encryption off would be a useful experiment.
This is one of the parameters reported by NirSoft WiFiInfoView but you should be able to check everything in your router specs anyway.

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?


OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?

 

Wifi only connects to Gmail but nothing else, and only one on particular network

I can connect to Gmail online but nothing else, but this is only on one particular wifi network, which happens to be in a place where I do some consulting work. Any suggestions as to what might fix this?
