    BSOD - Critical Process Died, at a bit of a loss

    So my PC was freezing kind of sporadically over the past few days, so I decided to system restore it to a point last week. After that, it booted up fine but froze once again. I powered off and booted it back up only to get the BSOD with the error “Critical Process Died”. I can’t boot Windows back up, in safe mode or otherwise. I’ve tried a bunch of solutions in the Command Prompt and nothing has worked. I got my roommate to make a bootable USB of Windows 10 on his Mac and every time I try to run it I get “Error code 0x8007000D - Windows cannot open the required file D:\Sources\install.wim”.

    Not really sure what to do from here. I’m wondering if him making the USB on his Mac is causing problems trying to boot it on a PC? He made it using unetbootin. I would appreciate any help and can provide more info if needed.
