    BSOD Critical Process Died Issue

    Hey Guys,

I am having an issue here and I will greatly appreciate if anybody here can help me resolve this issue.

My Computer has 2 SSD and one HDD and i was using it just fine for a few months but I always thought that the computer was very slow to be using 2 SSD on Raid 0 so I tried to find out what was the issue.

When researching about the matter I found out that the RAID 0 was using one SSD and the HDD not the 2 SSD that as a result the drives where acting as HDD not as SSD so I went ahead and created a Complete System Image then I Deleted RAID 0 and created a new one now with the correct 2 SSD drives in it.

I booted up and restored the PC from the Image I had and all went well.

Started using my system again and I was loving the speed but after 3 days I started getting this BSOD Critical Process Died and now it happens every 10 minutes after I boot up the PC. Makes my PC useless.

I have searched high and low looking for a solution but nothing seems tio fix it.

I tried deleting the raid again and creating a fresh raid but still same issue.

I tried updating all drives but all are up to date

I tried running sfc/scannow but it fails

I tried doing system restore to an early restore point but that always fail

I tried refreshing the PC but that fails as well.

I have the system set to create minidumps when it crashes but I never get a minidump file created

I am out of ideas and any help you guys can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Attached is the file as per posting instructions but there were no mini dump files created during the crash so I am not sure how helpful it will be.

    Attachment 72717

  3. Cannot find/create dumps to upload for crash support

Yes, I am still crashing. Most often ends on bsod: critical process died. If not that, then on a red screen that is followed by shutdown.

    Thanks again!

No dumps so not much to work with.

Have you tried getting rid of the RAID0 setup completely. That seems to me the most likely cause. I doubt you will see much difference in speed since you are booting from a SSD.

And how do I do that?

i have tried to get rid of it by going to IDE and ahci mode but each time I try to restore from the image I cant because the dual SSD amounts for 223.6GBs together and that is from where the image was taken from and on IDE and ahci I can use only one of the SSD that amounts for just 111.7 GBs so the restore from image fails because is expecting a drive that has 223.6 or more available space.

I don't know how to do this. RAID 0 is very failure prone so I don't have a clue how you would remove remove it.
I hoped since you set it up you would know how to remove it. I did not find anything via a Google search that says how to remove RAID 0 without data loss.

I would backup my data then power down, remove one of the SSD drives.
Clean install Windows 10 to the remaining SSD then restore my data and install software.
Once done, install the other SSD and use it as a backup drive.

As long as you have a good backup of the existing RAID 0 setup you can always go back to it.

Thanks Ztruker. I had no way of solving this so I ended up deleting the raid0 and the partitions. Then I switched SATA to ACHI Mode on BIOS , created a Windows 10 Boot USB using Rufus and the Official ISO from Microsoft and booted from the USB to perform a clean install. After the clean install was done I had to reinstall all programs one by one manual and that is how I managed to get back up and running with my system. It looks like there is no easy way to resolve this Critical Process Died issue after all is all about doing all fresh to get the matter resolved.
