  1. BSOD "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" but nothing shows up on Event Viewer

Hi everybody. For the past couple of months I've been struggling with this issue I'm about to tell you.Basically, I get a BSOD "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED", randomly, like once a week. It once happened when I was doing a full virus analysis with Windows Defender, once when I was editing a photo in Photoshop, once when I was literally doing nothing and there was just the desktop showing, and the list goes on...I made sure that I have no virus on my laptop. Even worse, when I try to check the "logs" on Event Viewer, nothing shows up!For instance, the last BSOD CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED happened 10 minu

  2. Hourly BSOD with the error Critical_Process_Died

About every hour I get a BSOD with the error, Critical_Process_Died. The BSOD completes "gathering info" and when it gets to 100% it does not restart. The only processes I have been running are chrome and trying to do malwarebytes scan. I checked the event viewer and every single one of these critical events are listed under Kernel-Power. Does anybody have a solution to this issue that does not include completely backing up my PC?

Event Viewer stopped showing new events

I go to Event Viewer > Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > Diagnostics-Performance > Operational.

But there are no events listed for the past several weeks even though I’ve rebooted many times during that period.

I clicked the Refresh button in the right column and this added one new event - the latest event 100. But no Event Viewer showing the system was shut down. I did several cold reboots so there should be many new entries but that’s not the case.

In the right column I looked at Operational > Properties. “Overwrite events as needed" is checked.

Any idea why new events are not showing up?

    Thanks
