  1. BSoD CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED

Hi! So I just wiped my PC of all viruses, traces and everything of that and when I went to install the NET. Framework update the PC refused to start Windows 10. As in I keep getting BSoD after BSoD. It has a stop code that says: CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILURE. I have done these troubleshooting things

1: Started in Safe Mode with Networking and uninstalled the NET. Framework update from Uninstall a Program 2: Tried disabling Driver Signature Enforcement but it kept giving a BSoD 3: Reset the PC, to which it says: There was a problem resetting your PC 4: Ran Chkdsk, didn’t work.

Can anybody help please, I can’t make a recovery image, I turned off System Restore because somebody said it eats up storage but I think they were just lying, I cannot make an ISO, I cannot make a recovery DVD or anything

  2. Critical_service_failed BSOD restart loop windows 10

    Hey,

I upgraded to Windows 10 on my Sony Vaio Duo 11 a few weeks ago. It was running fine, until I did an update and found the start menu and notifications panel were unresponsive. I did a laptop reset without issue and the problem disappeared. However, as soon
as it updated again, the problem came back.

I tried to reset again, but once it hit 100% it fell into a loop. It starts up, 3 seconds later it shows a BSOD with a "CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED" error, then restarts, goes back to the BSOD with the same error 3 seconds later, resets, and so on.

I cannot get to the login screen. I cannot get to desktop. I cannot get to BIOS. I do have the OS installation ISO on a usb but I cannot get more than 3 seconds into start-up, so I can't force an OS install from the usb.

    What can I do?

  3. CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED problem.

I have a desktop computer running Win 10. The latest updates have ended up with a CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED problem and I can't reboot. I haven't got a boot disk as Win 10 was downloaded

    Random BSOD while browsing internet

BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.
A tiny documentation can be found here: Solved Random BSODs - Windows 10 Forums
In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.
