    BSOD -DISM ERROR-87, Booting very rarely!System works unless sutdown.


    Good Evening,

    ASUS G74SX-16GB RAM, NVIDIA 560M

    Finally decided to upgrade Windows 10pro from windows 7 ultimate,(Deleted the factory recovery partition too!)
    Regretting now!*Mad

    Worked like a charm for a day,after shut down it didn't turn on for couple of days except showing the blue scree with like white lights flashing here and there*Eek, don't know what happened it turned on today,took that opputunity and ran check disk which said some errors but fixed by itself, again checked for updates after try to restarting it didn't turn on!

    Turned on again after multiple attempts of power on and off, so when its on its working when its shut down its not turning on !!

    It's working now,i am typing using the system don't want to turn it off!!!


    After reading some threads here i did scf/scan and dismscan..later showed Error 87,

    CBS LOG AND DISMSCAN log file are attached

    Pls help me,thank you for your time, if its too hectic don't mind going back to Windows 7*Huh

    Dism error 87

    Hello,

    I have been having BSOD with the error "Critical Process died.

    I undated all the drivers (with the exception of Intel graphic 4000- as I have not yet found it).

    And ran SFC andDISM.

    SFC was OK.

    DISM:

    CheckHealth - ok

    ScanHealth - passed 100% ok

    RestoreHealth - "Image version 10.0.17134.225, Error 87, The restorehealth option is not recognized in this context. For more information, refer to the help.

    The DISM log file can be found at c:\windows\logs\DISM\\dism.log.

    Can you please advice how to proceed?

    dism error 87

    I think version 1607 is the current version for Windows 10 ... is there another way I can resolve the dism error 87? Thank you

    DISM - Parameter "Cleanup-Image" is not known (error 87)

    Hello Eric,

    To troubleshoot your concern, we suggest that you run DISM Restore Health command. Refer to the steps provided below:

    • Open Command Prompt (Administrator).
    • Type the following command:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    3. Press Enter.
