Windows 10: BSOD DPC access violation (Watchdog) / Power State failure

Hi, thanks for reading my post and for your time.

I first had issues with my Network adapter (Atheros Qualcomm), ethernet was working fine and i could only get a connection to a few routers, the rest would reset my netword card on connection.
Second issue happend very recently, as it never happend before yesterday.
BSOD happend on different times and context :
- When using touchpad.
- On logging screen
- Random for most.

Starting my computer on safe mode works perfectly.

windows 10 restarts after anniversary update

The message on the BSOD states:

DPC watchdog violation

I had a look to the memory dump, and found a message telling that the

problem is likely to be caused by nvstor.sys.

I tried to update this driver, but it seems to be up to date.

You appear to have a illegal installation of Windows 10. Please correct this by installing and activating a legal copy. If you then get any more BSODs, run DM_Log_collector and upload the zip file and I'll be happy to take a look at it.

 

First of all, thanks you for the answer.
Soon after the BSODs I tried to find where the problem was located but I finally decided to reset the computer but still, the problem didn't really seems to be solved. I bought my pc 2 years ago and it gets reset as windows 8. I decided to upgrade it few minutes later with an official windows link : Access Denied).
It's been few months that windows isn't available with the windows update so I decided to upgrade it with this tool.
Now that I think about it, do you think the windows 8 will be stable for the drivers?

 

If your installation of Windows 8.1 was legal and activated, then you can still do a free upgrade to Windows 10 using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool.

I know this still works as I did it twice at the shop last week, once with a Windows 7 install and again with a Windows 8.1 install. Both were activated before the upgrade and activated automatically after the upgrade.

The key is you need to start with an activated Windows 7, 8 or 8.1.
