Windows 10: BSOD Driver Overran stack buffer

I get the Driver overran stack buffer error with BSOD randomly sometimes while gaming (rust, dishonored, Skyrim, civ 5, and most any other game). I have manually updated the drivers for my motherboard, video card, and peripheries. I also randomly get the irql_not_less_or_equal BSOD during the same things (though this one appears to only happen when internet windows are open thru chrome and/or Microsoft edge). I am following all instructions in the video on how to post this if I miss something please let me know. Ohh and if it matters my game files are on an external Toshiba hard drive. WIN10-DRIVER OVERRAN STUCK BUFFER BSOD, and then it was clear by deleting Asus Power4Gear Power Management. but the BSOD now is coming again with the minidump

Please test your memory using MemTest86+
If Memtest86+ gives zero errors as result, run driver verifier.

Please follow this tutorial to run driver verifier.

Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.



Note Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

Hello axe0 thanks for the reply. I have been reading through as many threads as possible to try to glean any info to fix my problems so I already found out about mem test from another thread you were helping on. I ran mem test yesterday for 9 completions (over 12 hrs) and had no errors. I just backed-up the little I had on my windows drive and I created a restore point and I am gonna start the driver verifier I will let you know in a few days how it goes (unless it crashes sooner). Thanks for the reply and hopefully we can figure this out.

 

Well that was the fastest fail I have ever experienced in my life. When I ran drive verifier and my computer restarted it immediately crashed and gave me error driver_verifier_iomanager_violation (HIDCLASS.sys)
I also attached a new log to see if that helps. Well I am off to work let me know what else you need from me.

I have already downloaded this update before I started this thread but I have re-downloaded it and reinstalled it I will re-run the driver test and see if this happens again (after I create a new restore Point). I will then post the results.

I reinstalled the same software (but a new download just in case) and I have run driver verifier. My computer is till running for over 10 minutes now (way better than the 30 or so seconds last time) So I am gonna play some games that would crash some drivers and my comp and see if I can make something happen for us. I will let you know if something happens soon if it doesn't over the next few days I will get back to here with any new info on Monday. thanks again for all of the help.

 

Ok axe0 it crashed again but I wasn't there so I don't know what the warning message was but I will attach the Dm Log and hopefully it will shine a light on this problem.

No drivers have been flagged, unfortunately that sometimes happens with driver verifier enabled.

Following drivers could use updating

Driver Reference Table - IntcDAud.sys

 

Of those drivers I could only update the first one since there is no updates at all for the mouse and I did not update the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD Driver because the only update I found was for windows xp. I will run the driver verifier again today and check it when I get home from work.

As for the Logitech mouse there are no driver updates so I may have to just buy a new mouse it seems. It is a little odd to me that all of the new ones are intel issues. I have followed your link and when I install the tool that they all link to it doesn't give me an option of downloading updates to all of them so I will run it again after the restart and see what happens.
