Windows 10: BSOD (Driver Powerstate Failure) when using office apps

I have a acer swift 3 laptop and have been getting this BSOD for a regularly. It occurs when I use any office app for a few minutes, the whole laptop freezes first and then shuts down.

I have repaired my windows 3 times already and tried both office 365 and 2019.

Also when I use the office apps everything within the app lags behind (mouse movements, typing, etc.)

I don't know what to do so any help is welcome.

Driver powerstate failure

To assist you better, I would like to know when exactly do you get this error message?

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have performed. Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. Follow the below methods.

Method 1.

Step 1.

I suggest you to uninstall/reinstall the sound adapter driver and check.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Now click on Sound, video and game controllers
  to expand, right click on the device and click on uninstall.
  
• 
  Once you are done installing the driver, restart the computer. It will automatically install the sound adapter driver.
  

If the still persist, try the below steps.

Uninstall the audio driver by following the above steps and try installing the driver from below link.

Method 2.

I recommend you to go to the below link and try downloading High definition Audio codec and install the same.

Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.
