Windows 10: BSOD DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (iaStorA.sys) Randomly Windows 10

I get BSOD approximately 15-60 min after boot. It does not happen at idle, but I have to be doing something e.g web browsing, working in MSoffice, gaming etc.

It all started AFTER I set up RAID 1 on 2 HDDs recently purchased. I am running Intel RST (driver version 14.8.0.1042) and newest drivers for my bios. I tried keeping the raid setup and uninstalling intel RST but STRANGELY still got BSOD caused by iaStora.sys. I don't want to disable RAID because losing these data would end me!!

I boot from a Samsung SSD, have a storage OCZ SSD, a game drive on the M.2 slot on my mobo, and have two 3TB Seagate barracuda's on RAID1.

Please help. If you do your afterlife will be fantastic probably.

BSOD and forced reboot loop after windows 10 upgrade

Hi, just upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. After installation finished, I got the bsod with error driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (iastora.sys) and the computer reboots to the same error. Turning it off manually leads to the same error. I have a
Dell inspired 7520.

The minidump file you posted does not appear to be from the same computer where you generated the sysinfo - one appears to be Intel based the other AMD.

Do you have two computers experiencing issues?

Can you provide a sysinfo from the computer experiencing the BSOD referencing the iastora.sys ?

Have you tried the Intel download site which can automatically detect and download updated drivers?

Yes I've tried that autodetect and the only thing it found that needed updating was intel chipset. I did that, and still get BSOD randomly.

 

O'k I think I've fixed it. No crashes BSOD in 3 days. The problem was there are two types of SATA ports on my motherboard (ASUS z170-deluxe):

1) ASMedia SATA6Gf_E12 x 2
2) Intel SATA6G_12; SATA6G_34; SATA6G_34; SATA6G_56; and SATAExpress

The RAID 1 drives were plugged into Intel SATAs and since I wanted other drives not to be set to RAID mode I put them in AsMedia ports where intel rapid storage technology could not see them. THIS WAS INCORRECT and was casing my BSOD. I moved all drives to intel ports so now intel rapid storage technology can see all of them and this has FIXED my BSOD crashes. Apparently there was an issue with hard drives running that intel rapid storage technology cannot see. I hope my fumblings around has helped someone else fix their problem.
