    Hello everyone,

    I'm having problems with freshly installed Windows 10 on a new computer. Most of the parts are new except my GPU, Toshiba HDD and 250GB SSD, which I salvaged from my previous PC.

    At first the BSOD were very frequent and most of the time the errors were either DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. They also seemed to pop more or less randomly, but I did notice that trying to install Realtek HD Audio drivers was a sure way to get BSOD. I did manage to install the newest version of the audio driver after uninstalling the device from device manager.

    After this the BSODs have been less frequent but in no ways is the system stable. Now I seem to get BSODs when playing Total War Warhammer 2, although not always.

    I've also tried updating the LAN drivers provided by Asus downloads page and made sure to update my GPU drivers to the latest version, but since I'm unable to figure out which of the drivers is causing the errors I'm unsure how to continue troubleshooting so any help would be appreciated.

    PS. I'm currently running the windows driver verify in hopes to get more clues.

    I ran the Win10's own memory test during the night and it detected no errors.

  2. Windows10 Blue Screen for HyperV vmswitch.sys

    When running an VM in Win10 with Hyper-V when it starts to talk to the web I get a blue screen.

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (vmswitch.sys)

    DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION but that's a know issue as I'm running three screens.

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (andolwfx.sys)

    The PC has a fresh load of the os and is updated. Not finding anything on Google for the vmswitch with Win10

  3. Windows 10 1511 / 10586 update incompatible with Creative Soundblaster X-Fi

    Hello everybody today the Creative support team updated the driver and i can confirm that the bsod problem is SOLVED!

    But you have to have installed the latest windows update: 1511 (build 10586.71) because if you install the driver on a fresh windows without the 10586.71 update, you'll get a bsod error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

    Hey zbook,

    Thanks for the quick reply! I turned off fast boot, installed the driver (although I didn't remember to check the version number of the original driver so can't guarantee the one I installed is newer, but I believe so) and updated the BIOS. Hopefully these will help. I'll report back in a day or two. Since the crashes were rather frequent I think it should be quite easy to see the difference.
