Windows 10: BSOD: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE; DELL PRECISION 5560; WINDOWS 10 Pro

Hello,Since last month or so BSOD has started bothering my day to day activity. The computer will just randomly stop responding and after few seconds BSOD appears with the Stop Code: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE . Acer Aspire 5560 not upgrading to windows 10

That Error Code seems to be most frequently associated with/pointing to incompatible Drivers. The Acer Aspire 5560 Model is only listed on the Acer Site under 'Legacy Hardware' as far as I can tell, which suggests they may not be too interested in providing
further firmware/driver updates, but you could try asking on their Forums. According to this site ( Acer Aspire 5560, 5560G Notebook Win7, Win8 Driver, Utility | Notebook Drivers ) the last updates were released in 2012!

 

DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

Hi,

I have a Windows 10 Pro installed on my Dell Precision 5520 laptop. I often experiencing a force restart due to unexpected error on the system. The error says, "Stop Code: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE". Is there someone have the same experience on this? What's your recommendation to resolve this? Thanks for your time.

I suggest you to install Sidewinder Precision pro in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

To install Sidewinder Precision pro in compatibility mode follow these steps:

a. Right-click on the setup file of the program and select “Properties”.

c. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

d. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and
select latest Windows version from the drop down list.

e. Let the program install and then check the functionality.
