BSOD When playing games

Please share the information requested below:

• Does the BSOD occur while playing a particular game?
• Is the game downloaded from Windows Store?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card drivers by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

BSOD DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL while gaming


Thanks a lot for responding, sorry Ive taken so long to reply, I wanted to give it some time to see if the error occurs again. For the past week Ive done sessions of both light and heavy gaming, and I can definitely say I haven't encountered the BSOD since Ive tried your suggestion.
It might also be worth noting that I received the error in the screenshot attatched Attachment 40364, which prompted me to contact customer service via live chat at NVidia. I was told by the CSR to install the previous version of the driver, which I did.
Reporting back that I tried both suggestions, and no BSOD. I did get the screen glitch once, and it wasn't in any of the more high performance sessions. Thanks for the help so far!

BSOD while gaming

Getting freezing and slowdown and BSOD. Happens in certain games. Sometimes it happens every session. Sometimes it doesn't Dumps point to nvlddmkm.sys and ntoskrnl.exe. Bug String is SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED Bug code is 0x10000007e. Attached are the files generated from the BSOD analysis suggested here.

Updated drivers but it didn't seem to affect it.
