Windows 10: BSOD during Windows Update 1803

I am constantly getting BSOD during Windows Update 1803 for over a month now, multiple times a day. Right now it is KB4487017 that's failing. Earlier it was a different one.


Either the update goes into 'installing' status or 'initializing' status and then just goes to BSOD and my machine shuts down and reboots to EZ-mode Boot (I have an ASUS machine, I guess EZ-Mood is the Boot utility).


This is what I have been doing since a month.

Once the machine enters boot - exit from boot, disable Windows Updates in Services, delete the contents of C:/Windows/SoftwareDistribution/Downloads. (Read this on some other answer over here dealing with this same issue)


This stops the update for a while but I cannot permanently disable the updates as the Windows Update doesn't stay disabled upon reboot.


I have checked the C:/Windows/Minidump, it is empty.


So many people are deal with BSOD issues over 1803 update. Is there any resolution to this problem?

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

Any Office365 users here? Does Outlook (or any Office app for that matter) request activation after each system restart post this Windows 1803 update?

 

Windows Update (BSOD)

Hi Guys.
I have Built a Machine for Crunching a few days ago and I have some issues with Windows Update.

I have installed all Windows Updates but there are around 9 left without been installed becasue everytime i try to install it the Machine Crash and I get a BSOD, can someone tell me what could be causing that Windows Updates makes a Machine crash and get BSOD?
