    BSOD every few hours with new set of RAM


    Hi!I recently got another identical set of DDR5 RAM sticks for my system and they are now causing a BSOD with DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE stated as the cause. This happens every few hours, but as far as I can tell, there is no regularity to it. However, all the minidump files seem to report the same sequence of events leading up to ntoskrnl.exe failing see image. I ran the windows memory diagnostic tool to see if there were any problems, but none were detected. I also tried the combination of just the new set of RAM or just the old set of RAM as well as both sets at the same time, and the p

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    BSOD on new computer while gaming

    I just got a new computer about a month ago. Everything is new and I get BSOD (windows 10) while gaming mostly although it sometimes happens while I'm just using the computer. Sometimes the computer doesn't BSOD and just gives me a Access Violation Error. Not sure if related.

    Steps I have taken:
    • Updated all drivers and bios to latest versions
    • Checked ram with windows memory test to see if ram is faulty. (A stick was and it was removed waiting for replacement)
    • Clean Installed Windows after finding faulty ram
    • I had 2 x 2080Ti installed, I removed one, tested and then swapped cards; issue still exist

    BSOD every few hours with new set of RAM

    BSOD at least twice a month - uncertain cause

    I have run driver verifier with the below settings for >48 hours. There have been no BSOD. Please advise on next steps
    • I/O verification
    • Force pending I/O requests
    • IRP logging
