2. Every day about every half hour or so Edge/IE tells me that it has new content and I should refresh the page.

    Hi,

It could be due to incorrect settings or missing updates or due to third party apps.

Did you make any changes prior to this issue?

Try to run Microsoft Safety Scanner. It helps remove viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It works with your existing antivirus software.

Safety Scanner - Windows Defender Security Intelligence

Anti Virus Disclaimer : Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

Try in InPrivate and Compatibility mode and check.

Refer to "Pages aren't displaying correctly or appear blank" in the link below. Open IE, then press Shift+Ctrl+P to open IE in InPrivate.

I suggest you to reset the Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

Change or reset Internet Explorer settings:

Note: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control
settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature.

Every day about every half hour or so Edge/IE tells me that it has new content and I should refresh the page.

    Original Title: Microsoft Edge

I'm using edge and every day about every half hour or so it tells me that it has new content and I should refresh the page. Well this is annoying and I would like to know if there is a way to stop it from doing this. It also happens in IE whenever I use
it. Does anyone have a solution to this or is this a fault that can't be fixed?

BSOD every other day or so

There is a comment in the dxdiag report:

Code: There is a problem with Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 device. For more information, search for 'graphics device driver error code 22'
If you are not using the on-board graphics you should disable it in the BIOS.

  5. Thanks for the reply, I disabled the on-board graphics in BIOS and made sure it was gone in Device Manager. Here's hoping for no more BSOD

Now that the MS symbols server has been updated we can read the crash dumps again. I've checked you latest crash and I would suggest it was caused by the NVidia graphics driver.

Code: ffffe100`056b3038 fffff806`b2af378aUnable to load image \SystemRoot\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_a2b0acab06663645\nvlddmkm.sys, Win32 error 0n2 *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvlddmkm.sys nvlddmkm+0x8378a
Please reinstall the NVidia driver. The best way to do this is to uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from your Graphics card manufacturer or from the NVidia website. When you do this be sure the "clean install" box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver.

  8. BSOD every other day or so

Thanks, I was wondering why WinDBG wasn't working the other day. I followed your suggestions and will mark this as solved for now.
