    BSOD into unusual errors/problems.

    So about 3 nights ago I was using my desktop and was randomly met with a BSOD(unfortunately the screen went by too fast and I wasn't thinking to see the error code). I went to bed thinking everything would be fine but when I booted up my PC the next day and I was met with an unusual situation. The login background was a solid blue and the icons in the bottom right signified that I had no internet connection even thought the network was up and the pc is connected via ethernet cable, also the power functions via the power button icon in the bottom did nothing so I'm not able to shift click the restart button to boot into safe-mode. Furthermore when I proceeded to what would normally be the password input box the blue screen was just blank unless I let the screen load for about 10-20 minutes in which case I was able to input the password(I usually use a pin but it asked for the account password) and would land me on the desktop but all my taskbar programs were gone and I couldn't do anything once on the desktop, mousing over the start icon would perpetually have a loading hourglass(I left it there for over 4 hours).After about 5 minutes of letting the desktop load a windows would pop up with the message "windows created a temporary paging file on your computer because of a problem that occurred with your paging file configuration when you started your computer. the total paging file size for all disk drives may be somewhat larger than the size you specified". If I would try to create a new folder on the desktop it would give me the error "an unexpected error is keeping you from creating the folder...Catastrophic failure" After this I tried to start a fresh install of Windows but when I went to format the SSD from the boot disk it would say the partitions couldn't be deleted so I decided to try and install windows onto my HDD but would be met with an error saying "could not prepare windows to boot into the next phase of installation" or something very similar to that. I found a very old HDD with windows installed on it and was able to boot into that just fine until it finally gave out and stopped working altogether(it was clearly dying when I replaced it 7+ years ago so this wasn't a surprise) However I was able to fiddle around with windows while on that HDD for about 2 hours and I found out that the SSD was write-protected or in read-only mode and I couldn't get it out of that state after trying every method I could possibly find on the internet(when I would try to remove readonly via diskpart it would say that it successfully removed the attribute but it would actually remain). With all of these problems I'm thinking that the SSD is definitely shot but I don't know if these problems could point to the HDD also being done or if there's an even larger problem that would cause these issues.

    TL;DR: BSOD into stalled out login screen, perpetually write-locked SSD, unable to install windows to HDD.

    Thank you for reading this and for any advice you can offer me.

  2. Getting BSOD 0x124 error

    Ignore what everone said here.

    0x124 BSOD is usually related to VCCIO (VTT), run Prime95 version 26.6 with custom sizes of 512K to 640K with 50% of your memory for at least 8 hours.

    If you get a 0x124 BSOD, increase VCCIO voltage by small steps, run Prime95 again until your stable.

    If you pass Prime95 512K to 640K without a BSOD, then its Vcore too low. I'd suggest running IntelBurnTest with 80% of your memory to verify stability (8 to 12 hours).

    Oh, and yeah, if this problem appeared all of the sudden, the reason is CPU degradation, you can prevent it by enabling C-States or adjust your overclock to use lower voltages.

    BSOD - Registry Error

    Your BSOD code is 0X000000051

    Here's the Google search I did for it: https://www.google.com/search?q=0x0...j5.399j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

    There is a hotfix available that might help, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/810558

    This thread makes a few good suggestions too: http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-hel...dows-7-pro-sp1-registry-error-0x00000051.html

    +1 to listing your full system specs, OS version, etc. I did only look at your BSOD log file.

    Run a Diskchk /R (I know you already ran one, so you can skip this)

    Run SFC /SCANNOW

    Report back.

    BSOD into unusual errors/problems.

    7 different BSoD

    Hey guys,

    I have a serious problem. I make it as short as possible:

    • system runs 100 % fine with the 10.12
    • updatet to Catalyst 11.1 -> BSoD
    • updatet to 11.1 Hotfix -> BSoD
    • rollback to 10.12 -> BSoD
    • removed ALL AMD files manually, installed 10.12 -> BSoD
    • Temps are fine
    • no sfc /scannow errors
    • no chkdsk errors
    • Prime, Furmark all fine
    • regardless what driver I install -> BSoD
    • I did no hw changes, no OC
    Here are my BSoDs I receive:
    • 0x0000010e
    • 0x1000007e
    • 0x0000007e
    • 0x0000004e
    • 0x0000003b
    • dxgmms1.sys
    • PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
    They all refer to the GPU of course ...

    From now on I receive a BSoD every time I try to play a game (especially BC2 and SC II) even if I completely remove the old driver and make a clean install.
    Apparently the 11.1 damaged my system irreparable.

    Any advice or info would be very much appreciated *Smile BSOD into unusual errors/problems. :)
