    Hello MS Support, My system was experiencing random and varied BSOD events, and after much hair pulling, I figured it was my motherboard. So I replaced my mobo, CPU, and memory. Much to my horror, the issues continued after replacing parts. One consistent critical event was, "The device HID-compliant headset location unknown is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 4 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem."Going into my device manager, I could see a yellow exclamation on my HID Compliant Heads

    I've got BSOD before Avira. He is installed yesterday.

    And btw, i also uninstalled Avira this morning, and still got BSOD.

    There is something wrong with driver or HID COMPLIANT HEADSET :x

    HID-compliant headset driver crashes, causing PC to hard freeze

    I'm having recurrent problems with this HID-compliant driver, which continues to freeze my PC until I hold the power button to shut it off, usually while gaming. So NO BSOD. The headset I've been using was the Razer BlackShark v2. After months of trying to solve this issue I decided to uninstall all drivers related to the razer headset, and try another one (hyperX cloud II) and I'm still getting the freeze.

    EVENT VIEWER LOG: The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 4 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem.

    I will try to explain what I've done to try and fix the issue.

    Contacted razer support (a month later still emailing back and forth and they have been everything but helpful)

    Contacted windows support (told me to just reinstall drivers)

    Updated windows through windows update

    ran SFC and DISM commands in CMD

    clean installed razer synapse

    tried different USB ports

    tried the headset on a different PC (worked fine on my brothers Intel build)

    Fresh installed win10

    tried following this reddit thread with others that have the same issue: Reddit - Dive into anything

    theres probably more that I have tried over the months and forgot.

    Please help. I built this PC for gaming, and without a headset it doesn't serve its $2000 purpose.
