Ok. Actually did a minute amount of research (was being sooo lazy) and found a passable stress test program, was able to replicate a BSOD in safe mode. Running HeavyLoad and a whole bunch of Chrome tabs.
    Log file attached.

Do you also get a crash when only running Chrome or HeavyLoad?
With Chrome, just 1 tab prefered.

I have, unfortunately, not been able to replicate a crash with just Chrome or HeavyLoad running. Neither have I been able to replicate a crash with HeavyLoad running and a single chrome tab open. Frustrating.
It's been crashing on and off for the last couple days, of course while I have been trying to actually use it. I had a particularly bad incident after I got home from work today, it BSOD'd initially, tried to automatically restart, and got stuck in a loop where it would start booting, crash, start button, and then crash again. Did this about 7 times until I manually powered the computer off, and tried to restart, after letting it sit for about 30 seconds. It started to boot up, and then proceeded to BSOD. Haven't been able to get it back on yet to get the dump logs, hopefully I'll have more success in the morning.

Regarding Chrome and HeavyLoad, it sounds like a memory issue, that the system can't handle a lot of activity in 1 program or a bug in Chrome when a lot of tabs are open.

That's what I was initially thinking. It's just odd that it doesn't consistently crash when I use a lot of memory, the error seems to persist between boots, and Memtest passed with no problems.
I attached a screenshot of one of my HeavyLoad sessions. It would load the CPU fine, and then the memory usage would ramp up almost to capacity: and just sit there. Ran fine for about 45 minutes, and then I cut the test because I had to leave the house.
Also, log from my latest looping crash attached.

There are many different error codes.
Everything below, some are a lot returning in different error codes, make me believe it is a hard drive, or something overheated on the motherboard.
What is the temp of the CPU when under load?

I've disconnected my storage drive while I've been testing, so the SSD is the only drive I have at the moment.
Ran Chkdisk and HDTune, results attached.
Also, ran HeavyLoad, grabbed temp results with HWMonitor. Maxing out at 99 degrees Celsius. Screenshot and text log attached.

99C is too hot, this could mean overheating.
Before we say anything too soon about it, I'd like to know what the temps are when under load but not by any stress program.

Please fill in your cooling system in your system specs, it is currently very important for the troubleshooting.

    So.... slightly sheepish.
First screenshot is temps during me playing a game, second screenshot is the same game after a very thorough dusting. I didn't see it initially, but the CPU cooler had a fair sized clot of dust inside the radiator, which I found when I took the fan off. Obviously, that would not help cooling at all. I'll do some more testing, but at least for the couple minutes that I've been running it, I haven't been able to make it crash.

Actually, removing dust may improve the airflow what brings down the temps *Smile

  12. SSMcD Win User
Yeah, that's what I thought- I'm just kicking myself because it was something so simple.
It's appears to be running fine, I'm comfortable marking this closed, if you don't mind. Thanks for your help!

    I don't mind it *Smile
But I suggest to mark this solved when you haven't had a bluescreen for a few days, just to make sure it is gone.
