  1. BSOD Kernel security check failure on EMPTY hard drive

    Hi,
i just completed a new computer build with a i3-6100 and a gtx760 with an msi h110m mobo and 8gb of gbmicro ddr4 single stick.

Now i need to install windows 10 on a EMPTY hard drive without any os(the hard drive is not brand new but its still very usable), and at like 25% the install crashes every time with a kernel security failure what the heck am i supposed to do ?

i am using a usb drive to boot the windows 10 install

All solution seems to point to booting to the os with safe boot or something but i dont have an os !

Please help me! Its been two days that im actively trying to find a solution.*Sad

    :)

BSOD Kernel security check failure on EMPTY hard drive

    Hi frisepoile,

    Welcome to the 10forums *Smile

As this is a hardware issue, you have to use a different system to test certain parts. For certain parts, like the PSU and motherboard, there are no software tests.
For other parts, RAM, GPU and partly the HDD, you need to use a different system to perform software tests on because an OS is required.
Please let me know if you're unable to use a different system (necause no one will borrow theirs or any other reason).

I suggest to start with the below tests, because they (mostly) do not require an OS as they are DOS tests. For HDTunes you need a different system to test.

  5. Ok. now i did the mem test and i tested my single 8 gb ddr4 stick and had errors on both slots but they are different i guess ? so does this mean my ram is bad or both dimm slots ? edit: also i did a second test on the second dimm slot(2nd image) and the error is now about the same as the first

edit:i also did the hd tune pro tests here are the results:Attachment 118455Attachment 118456

Run memtest86+ on a different system with the single Ram stick and see what the result is. If there are errors then the Ram is bad, else the mobo

  7. ok, thank you very much for your time man *Smile
