I did that before purchasing the new stick of RAM. I got the exact same one as the one already installed. The motherboard supports DDR3 up to 32GB at 2600 MHz.

The test did 8 passes with no errors. So one stick is bad.

Please post images into the thread for all tests.

  3. I tried to, from my phone, and it wouldn't load the image into the post. It would allow me to select the photo, but once I tapped "Upload" the little circle thing would appear, then the file name would disappear and the picture wouldn't show up in the uploaded files list, even after several attempts and refreshes. It's less than 2 MB, too.

Sometime if images do not upload alternative such as one drive or drop box share links can be used to post images.

  5. Well, it doesn't matter either way whether one stick was bad or not. It is STILL crashing.

You should try the approach I suggested before in post #35

  7. I actually have, and it still crashes.

And you might have missed the part where I mentioned that I booted Linux from a live USB, and it ran for ten minutes before it froze. So it's not a software issue.

Thanks for that reminder I had forgotten that detail *Sad

That does suggest it is a hardware problem. You have removed the faulty RAM stick but did you check if the actual slot was faulty? It could also be the motherboard slot giving problems. Testing the good RAM in the other slots will check this.

  9. It's possible the other slot is bad, I had considered that. Slot 0 passed just fine. I hadn't tested the good RAM in slot 1 yet, though I think I'll do that later today and let it run the next 24 hours or so. We'll see how it goes. Will it still throw errors, even when the bad slot itself is empty?

A clean boot resulted in a crash, as well.

  10. Now I'm having issues with internet connectivity. And this is with a new WiFi adapter. It's acting the same way my old one was, disconnecting randomly, repeatedly, and not working on boot until I reset it. Still haven't done another memory test yet as messing around with ANYTHING in my case is a pain in the ass, and I just haven't had time to do anything with my PC the past few days. I'll try it sometime today or tomorrow and let you know when it's done.

  11. I haven't gotten around to the memory scan yet, but I heard the other day that a critical fix for certain driver errors was released for Windows Updates. I've installed the latest updates and I've been using the PC for about a couple hours now with no issues. I'll keep you all posted.

Well, the updates didn't fix it, but the computer DOES work for a good long while now. It crashed yesterday after a couple hours, and today I've managed to get some work done and even watch a movie and listen to some music. It's been about 5 hours now, with only one issue popping up during that whole time. Explorer started acting off and not loading any of my storage disks other than my downloads drive. I had to restart to fix it. Of course, I did have my Shield TV connected to it and I was going to transfer files, so it could have been the cause. That was odd, either way. Anywho, so far so good. My coworker's friend volunteered to take a look at it when he has some free time, so I may not have to shell out some cash to have a repairman fix it, if all goes well.

For any BSOD please use the beta log collector to post a new zip for troubleshooting.

  15. My friend suggested that maybe my graphics card is failing, but I don't know how to be sure. I can't take it out and test the PC with just the onboard graphics because it originally had a dual-core APU, which I replaced with a quad-core CPU. Wouldn't that mean my IGD would no longer work? Because that seems to be the case. I plug in my HDMI cable into the onboard port and I get no picture.
