    BSOD Kernel Security Check Failure

The first misbehaving rtwlanu version was:
    1030.23.502.2017

Realtek 8812AU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB NICAdapter

The second misbehaving rtwlanu version was:
    1030.26.801.2017

See if you can find a rolled back driver version.
If the 3rd driver fails then see if you can swap the hardware.

Disable Windows updates of non-Microsoft drivers before installing the rolled back driver:

  2. Where can I find an older driver for it? And this is for my Wavlink wireless adapter, right?

    rtwlanu.sys

    Used by different manufacturer's
    Realtek

Sometimes there is a roll back options, other times it may be grey.
Open device manager > expand applicable rows > right click on the device > left click properties, left click driver tab > left click roll back button

The only one they have is 1030.17.1101.2016 from 2017/6/26. It's older, at least. I think I might have tried that one already, though.

Disable windows updates > uninstall > install
    If it works your set.
If it fails > see if you can swap the hardware.

  6. I just disabled driver updates through Windows Update, uninstalled the driver, and reinstalled the new one. Wish me luck.

You can wait to see if there is computer stability or test the drivers using windows driver verifier.
To use this tool you must backup files, make a backup image, and make a brand new restore point.
If this is of interest links can be posted into the thread.

Doesn't matter now, it crashed TWICE while trying to respond to this.

There was no definitive misbehaving in the debugging.

Open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for > C:\Windows\memory.dmp > zip > post into the thread using a one drive or drop box share link

It was the Nvidia hardware driver again.
    Which GPU are using now?
    The original or the swap?

  12. The original was a GTX 760. This one is a GTX 210.

  13. BSOD Kernel Security Check Failure

Well, I switched my hardware back out into my "old" ASUS PC and bought a new cooler for it. My roommate's been using the MSI one for a little over a week now, with no problems. I think I can consider this solved, at least for now.

Thanks again for your help, @zbook and everyone else.

  15. Well, turns out I was wrong. It still crashes. Just not as often. Go figure. Well, he's going to replace the motherboard and see if that fixes it. Consider this solved.
