Windows 10: BSOD KMODE Exception Not Handled Netio.Sys

Hello, and thanks very much for providing this service.

I've been getting intermittent Netio.sys BSODs, typically while browsing using Chrome, or doing nothing. I was having a bunch of them in September, but they seemed to go away for a time. Now I'm having them again, and would really appreciate direction/help.

Windows 10 BSOD on startup (SYSTEM EXCEPTION/KMODE EXCEPTION)

Sad to say that after leaving the house for a few hours and switching the computer on I got another BSOD (KMODE EXCEPTION pointing to NETIO.SYS). Every start up program was disabled so looks like I'm back to square one.

 

Win 10 Reboot Loop of Death- system thread exception not handled (ntfs.sys)

Just browsing the web then the BSOD with the system thread exception not handled appeared, now it's in a booting loop. I tried to do safe mode and restore the PC but I only receive more errors.

Errors I receive:

System Thread Exception Not Handled (ntfs.sys)

Driver Overran Stack Buffer

Page Fault In Nonpaged Area

Driver IRQL Not Less Or Equal (NETIO.SYS)

PFN List Corrupt

Critical Structure Corruption

Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap

Memory Management Error

System Service Exception

Exception Scope Invalid

Kernal Auto Boost Invalid Lock Release

Kmode Exception Not Handled (ndis.sys)

Every once in 500 or so boots, it does boot successfully to desktop but the system thread error appears and the bootloop continues.

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.


Please uninstall AVG and use Windows Defender as alternative while troubleshooting.

I wasn't sure if there were specific programs you wanted disabled in startup, but I disabled the following:
Adobe Updater
Java Update Scheduler
Malwarebytes anti-exploit
Pidgin
Sentry for PDF

An attempt at removing AVG via programs and features seemed to hang my computer. After 20 minutes of nothing, I rebooted and used the AVG remover tool, which seems to have worked fine.

Windows Defender is running.

I still have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware running. Is that OK?

SFC /scannow shows Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations.

Are there any further steps I need to take at this time?

I think it is best remove Malwarebytes too, temporary.

No further steps, until proven that the removal of the security program(s) help or don't help resolve the problem.
If it helps, then try to reinstall the programs again, a reinstallation could sometimes help.

PS- Removing AVG also corrected an Acronis True Image problem I was having.
