I’ve had this issue for quite some time and have consulted several people about this and tried many fixes. PC: ASUS GL10C - Nvidia RTX3060, Intel CPUPC was a prebuilt purchase about 8 months ago. I don’t game on it or anything I mostly use it to learn programming and surf the web. BSOD: Critical Process Died - happens sometimes during clean install. Once install is done, will happen randomly within a few minutes of booting up. BSOD and a restart. Sometimes longer if I don’t do anything. Once I begin doing anything it will BSOD eventually. Original issue: Ever since I bought the PC, i

Win 10 BSOD after reducing number of CPUs

    • Win 10 x64 running in VMware Fusion VM on MacBook Pro w/ 6 physical cores & HT.
    • When VM is configured with 5+ CPUs, Windows runs fine.
    • When VM is configured with 4 or fewer, BSOD INVALID SYSTEM CONFIG INFO
      • WINLOAD.EFI missing or corrupted
      • Attempt to repair using ISO image fails
    OS X 10.15.4, VMware Fusion Pro 11.5.3

    Win 10 Enterprise

    Version 1703

    Build 15063.2108

Any suggestions appreciated, as I need to move this VM to another HW config with fewer physical CPUs.

    Thanks!

    Windows 11 BSOD Loop

Hello, any thoughts welcome. Desktop PC, 4 years old, Intel i7, 32GB Ram, SSD M2, etc. Was running Win 10, upgraded to Win 11 back in April 2022. Last month or so PC started to have BSOD looping. When it loops, some times I get as far as fully logging in and maybe doing 5 mins of work before it crashes, other times, it will BSOD at login screen before I even login in. and just boot up and loop around agin. finally it will stabalise and might be fine for a while (can be hour or days).

Issues seemed to start when running MS Teams in MS Edge browser, and got a message within MS Teams in the browser saying "memory running low". I have tried everything and in the end have wiped the PC, formatted, updated BIOS and done a very clean, minmal build 4 days agao, from this morning, PC BSOD loops again. Was very stable for a few days. I have run SFC, Memory test, almost every test I can find, updated all drivers, etc, passes all. I'm not sure if issue is Hardware or Software. There are odd Software issues outside of BSOD, for example, all my Quick Links in Windows Explorer have gone now, I open documents and formatting has changed, and on the login screen it sometimes loses my pin and details and says nothing is set up, restart and will be there again.

List of BSOD errors on 8/9/2022 over an hour or so in order:

IRQL Not Less or equal (BSOD)

BSOD Loop - Goes away when using CPU Graphics. Linux runs fine.

Guide: How to enable, use, and configure SLI on Linux.

I guess the next logical step would be to report on the performance you can get with SLI in Linux. That'd be my suggestion anyway.
