Windows 10: BSOD - Machine check exception / System randomly crashing. Ram or CPU Issue?

Machine Check Exception BSOD Randomly

Hi Rob!

I Greatly Appreciate The Detailed Help You Have Given Me.

First I will answer your questions:

- My Memory Upgrade Replaced 1x8gb 2400mhz stick with 2x8gb 2666mhz sticks.

- My SSD out of the box came with the latest firmware, as stated by Samsung Magician.

- All of the Parts Are in Warranty

So the things I have done now:

- Uninstalled Norton

- Checked the Motherboard website for possible incompatibility (none found)

- Updated All The Drivers

- Updated Windows

- Ran MemTest for 10 Hours (7 Passes/ 240 Errors Found, this confused me, the RAM is only about a Month old) MemTest86+ Results

- Ran OCCT for 1 Hour, No Problems Found (CPU Temps around 60-70, No Crashes)

- Ran FurMark for 1 Hour (GPU Temps around 80, No Crashes)

- Reset the Verifier (No Minidump Created)

It's hard to test if the PC will still BSOD however, as it seems to happen randomly.

During all of the testing it didn't crash. I'm starting to think that it may have been Norton causing the BSOD's, because I've had Norton on all of the installations of windows.

I'll keep you updated if something happens

Machine Check Exception BSOD Randomly

So A Weird Thing Happened

I Tested the sticks individually, none showed any errors.

So I tested both again, and no errors.

So maybe when I reseated the RAM it was only slightly not pushed in all the way or something, I don't know.

So far I haven't had any machine check exception bsod's, but i'll keep you updated.

BSOD error 'Machine Check Exception'

Right after Windows online upgrade from 7 to 10 there where no problems, no BSOD's, no crashes at all.In the mean time, no hardware changes, nothing of that.At first, after the first updates a crash occured once a month with 'Machine Check Exception' error.Then after updates the crashes occured more regularly.After clean Win 10 Home re-installation the crashes stopped, for a short while anyways.Then the persistant BSOD code 'Machine Check Exception' start appearing again.A few months later, worse case scenario happened, in fact after the first major updates all hell broke lose.Sometimes even daily crashes with BSOD message 'Machine Check Exception'.Then recently I found out about the Microsoft (faulty) update that caused a lot of trouble, worldwide.And the crashes keep coming, over and over again.Lately every week once or twice same thing.Various codes, stil same BSOD error message 'Machine Check Exception', the latest error:Bugcheck code: 0x0 (0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0) Error: CUSTOM_ERRORIt really is sickening.Hardware specsMoBo: Asus P6T SECPU: Intel Core i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHzVGA: AMD Radeon R7 200 series
